GeoGebra App

During our last Math session, grade 5 students brought their tablets and used “GeoGebra” ,an application that allows students to draw different geometric figures. My students had the chance to review all geometry lessons they took so far; angles, triangles, lines relationships, and circles in an interactive way!

Grade 5 students are experiencing the trendiest technologies in their math and science sessions, AR and VR.
Students are using their mobile phones and VR headsets to observe videos and images related to their lessons in 3D.

Using VR in our classrooms is the right mix between education and entertainment.

International day of persons with disabilities

During this international day, grade 6 students visited “Step Together Learning Community” a school specialized for students with disabilities.
First our students had a tour in the school, attended a lecture about the school’s mission, and watched a documentary that illustrated how to deal and teach students with disabilities. Then our students had the chance to build new friendships with students having disabilities. They sang, played basketball, ate breakfast, and even attended classes together.
The aim of this visit is to allow our students to accept and appreciate others regardless any differences.

Learning Problem Solving through QR codes

My fifth graders downloaded QR reader and generator application on their tablets and this is when fun begun!
My students used this application to scan and read QR codes to discover that the codes were word problems. They also scanned the resources found their Harcourt math book.
Finally my students used the QR generator to synthesize their own word problem and challenged their friends to solve it.
When technology and creativity are present learning will be much more fun!!
